Early life

Moishe grew up in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv, the second of five children in a poor family, with parents who were Iraqi-born real estate brokers. He studied law at Tel Aviv University for a year, but dropped out.

Moishe moved to New York City in 1983. His first job was as a dishwasher in the Village. After he saved enough money, he bought his first van and launched his 'A Man with a Van' moving company. A couple of years later, this company evolved into Moishe's Moving and Storage. In the late 1980s, Moishe's Moving became the largest moving company in the tri-state area. The storage portion of the company eventually splintered off into document storage, and Mana launched GRM Information Management which he has built into the third largest document and digital storage company in the US. He has ventured into several other niche storage businesses such as mini storage, art storage, inventory management, wine storage, and others.
